Honey Chai

Honey chai is smooth, naturally sweet, and comforting. Replacing sugar with honey adds floral notes that enhance spices rather than mask them. This chai feels gentle and nourishing, making it ideal for slow mornings or winding down in the evening.

Ingredients (2 mugs):

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 tsp black tea leaves

  • 2 cardamom pods

  • 1 small cinnamon stick

  • Honey to taste

Method:

  1. Simmer spices: Simmer water with cardamom and cinnamon for 4 minutes.

  2. Add tea: Add tea leaves and simmer briefly.

  3. Add milk: Add milk and bring to a gentle boil.

  4. Add honey: Turn off heat and stir in honey.

  5. Strain & serve.

Flavor notes & tips:

  • Add honey after heating to preserve flavor.

  • Works well with dairy or oat milk.

  • Light floral honey is best.
