Orange Spice Chai

Orange spice chai blends bright citrus notes with warming spices, creating a balanced and aromatic cup. The natural oils in orange peel lift the chai and add freshness without overpowering the tea or milk.

Ingredients (2 mugs):

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 tsp black tea leaves

  • Peel of ½ an orange (no white pith)

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 2 cardamom pods

  • Sweetener to taste

Method:

  1. Prepare orange peel: Use a vegetable peeler and avoid bitter white pith.

  2. Simmer spices: Simmer water, orange peel, cinnamon, and cardamom for 5 minutes.

  3. Add tea: Add tea leaves and simmer briefly.

  4. Add milk & sweetener: Add milk, sweeten, and gently boil.

  5. Strain & serve.
