Sailor Bob Coffee’s Costa Rica Tarrazú Natural is a bold and fruit-forward single-origin coffee cultivated by smallholder farmers in the renowned Tarrazú region of Costa Rica—one of the world’s most celebrated coffee-growing areas for high-elevation Arabica.
Carefully grown in the rich volcanic soils and cool mountain climate of Tarrazú, this microlot was processed using the Natural (Dry) method, where fully ripe coffee cherries are dried intact under the sun before milling. This traditional process allows the fruit sugars to deeply infuse the bean, creating an exceptionally vibrant and expressive cup profile.
The result is a richly layered coffee bursting with notes of strawberry, plum, hibiscus, honey, and mandarin orange, balanced by a bright acidity and smooth medium body. Its fruit-forward character delivers a lively sweetness and floral complexity while maintaining a clean, refined finish.
At the San Diego mill in Costa Rica, only carefully selected ripe cherries were chosen for this lot. The cherries were slowly dried and rotated regularly to ensure even fermentation and optimal flavor development—highlighting the craftsmanship and precision behind every cup.
